House of Mounts

Sunday, February 25, 2007

We arrived in Orlando last night at 10:30pm and have big plans for the week. Mostly, we hope to relax, but we will have some busy days as well. This will be a welcome change from our previous trips, where we have been on the go daily from morning until night.

We decided not to do the Disney parks this time around, but they are offering a new "Princess and Pirates Party" at the Magic Kingdom, so we did decide that we should go to that. It is an after hours party from 7:30pm-12:30am tomorrow night, so we have to get our rest so that the kids can last past midnight.

We have rented a four bedroom house and we are going to be sure and relax every day by the private pool. There are eight of us this time around, including our five children and Christopher's fiancee Allie. Speaking of Chris, he changed his name legally to Mount a month ago. This was completely his decision and I never once even so much as suggested it, although I did wish for a long time.

The house is wonderful, and it is our second time here at this house. We were here in February of last year as well. If you come to the Orlando area, be sure to avoid the hotels and get a rental house. rentalo.com is the place to find your vacation rental anywhere in the world, and specifically for Orlando. The prices and selection are excellent.

Tonight we are off to see the Arabian Nights dinner show. We have heard rave reviews and we have heard it is not that great. We will know for ourselves in just a few short hours. We do have two previous shows to compare it to; Medieval Times in Anaheim and the Pirate's Adventure Dinner here in the big O.

Tomorrow, we will also be going to Gatorland in the morning to give us something to do before heading off to the Magic Kingdom. The rest of the week is completely unplanned, except that we have tickets that are good all week at Universal Studios. We will probably spend a few long days and a half day or two at their two parks. If the crowds are small, we will be able to do everything quickly and we will just spend a few days there in total, or shorten our visits.

We hope the rest of the Mount clan is all enjoying the winter and doing well. Sorry I do not post very often, but with 5 kids, there is a limit to our free time. Mom and dad know what I am talking about-the rest of you will have to imagine.

Love to all,

James and Kelly
