We are now three weekends away from moving out of our house and into my parents' house. And we are about two months from moving into our new house. It is a hectic time because we have all this moving stuff hanging over our heads, along with scouts (cub and girl), sports, homework, school stuff, work ... at least we don't have to worry about decorating the house for Halloween this year.
The house is coming along nicely. They are putting shingles on our roof today, and hopefully will begin placing windows in the gaping holes today or early next week. We are scheduled to do walk-throughs with the electrician and plumbers next week; Karen is going to choose a fireplace today (we already chose one, but I guess that company and our builder had a falling-out, so we need to pick again). We're going to plant a mailbox in front of the house this weekend, and should start getting mail there on the 31st (assuming the change of address goes OK). The only tricky thing will be phone - the old number will have a message directing people to the new number, but it will be a while before the new number is in service. We'll figure it out.
