Celebrations Galore! - Posted by Anonymous
Hi Everyone, This is my first posting to the blog. For me, "blog" is a new word in my vocabulary! It will be fun to share thoughts with you from time to time.
This weekend, Dave and I celebrated our 39th anniversary up at camp with a lovely quiet day for the two of us. We took a 9 mile bike ride in the country near camp and enjoyed the greenery and the birds. We had breakfast at one favorite place and dinner at another--on my Mom! On Sunday, Brittany, Jacob and Ryan joined us at camp so they could be there for the 4-birthday celebration on Monday. Steve and Karen stayed home to welcome new bedroom sets for the three kids--it took four hours for the men to deliver and set them up.
So we celebrated Sami who turned 2, Tommy who turned 4, Danny who turned 6, and Andrew who turned 6. It was a noisy, fun time for all of us. The cousins love having time together--the weather cooporated but it never got too hot. No one braved the waters of Lake Champlain yet this season, but we will soon!
Camp is looking great--the porch addition is the most used room--we all gather there and we are free from bugs and have great lake views. Little David is 2 and he exclaimed every time there was a boat going by! The new kitchen is very much appreciated too--clean and new is great. There is now a lot of cupboard space and the areas are filling up slowly but surely. New blue rug in the living room--after 25+ years of the ugly brown one complete with "runs" here and there. There is talk now of replacing furniture next--the couch is as antique as our marriage! But there is some protest about getting rid of it. It is big and comfy and a great napping or sleeping spot.
Love, fran
